 Anthony the Ant was born just before the 2002-2003 FireAntz' inaugural season. Anthony was born right here at our very own Crown Coliseum. To this day, he is still a bit upset that his "Ant Hill" was taken over by the FireAntz Hockey team. Anthony can be heard (very loudly) telling all that will listen "This is my house!!" Instead of exterminating Anthony, the Fayetteville FireAntz adopted him as their second mascot. Second? To a Bear??? This caused lots of confusion in Anthony's head. But we are the FireAntz!!! Anthony soon made lots of friends of fans young and old. One thing Anthony cannot resist is playing pranks on fans. Anthony has been known to try to take people's drinks, turn their hats around, run away with people's food and throw snowballs at the glass. Sometimes he gets into trouble, but most times he just makes the fans laugh and smile. His antics have made him (at least in his eyes) the "official team mascot." Now, Anthony can't wait to cheer on the FireAntz to victory each and every home game. Just don't ask him if he bites. "I don't bite, that's my cousins."
